Recruiter360, specializes in hard-to-find professionals for various clients in different industries on a national level. Our client is looking for a PROJECT BUSINESS MANAGER in the San Mateo County, CA area.
Our client is an international infrastructure group contracted to undertake electrification of the 52-mile Caltrain rail corridor between San Francisco and San Jose, laying the foundations for the future operation of high speed trains. This is the largest contract secured by the client in North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee project budget and cost data, develop analyses, monitor job costs and assure that all billable costs and change orders are handled properly to assure maximum profitability on our jobs.
- Ensure all invoices are proper created, certified by the owner, and that all billable costs are
- Review the job costing system to ensure all costs are properly recorded, and comparison of estimated to actual costs are communicated to the appropriate management
- Work with Project Manager, Controller and others to assure profitability
- Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis for project progression
- Develop and prepare reports that compare actual results to initial plan and provide a sound quantitative basis for management
- Organize and prepare cost data, develop analyses and present cost information to management
- Perform other duties as require
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the project
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree in Business/Accounting Degree required
- Minimum 5 years or more with similar Construction Cost Accounting experience or equivalent combinations of training/experience.
- Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting Software, Construction/Rail Technology, and budget analysis required.
